A crash turned the M25 into a car park earlier this evening according to drivers stuck in stationary traffic.
The road is now fully reopen but drivers are still experiencing long delays following the accident, which happened just before 12.30pm, involving two lorries and a car.
It partially closed the anti-clockwise carriageway between the slip roads at junction 2 and at 5pm the whole road was closed while highways officers cleared the debris.
Three people have been taken to hospital but their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
There are currently delays of up to an hour but the road has now reopened.
