Saturday was the busiest day of the year so far at the Port of Dover - with more than 22,000 cars passing through.
That's the equivalent of 15 cars every minute of the day or night - one every four seconds!
It had been thought that Saturday July 23 would have been the busiest day as it coincided with the start of the school holidays.
But Saturday proved to be even busier, with 22,113 cars - 2,000 more than July 23 - in addition to 3,800 coaches and lorries.
Robin Dodridge, director of corporate operations, said: "We are delighted that in spite of the economic climate, holidaymakers are still choosing to travel to and from the continent via the port of Dover.
"This is certainly reflected in the record numbers at the weekend. The port's staff did a great job to make sure everything worked smoothly for our customers."
Had all the cars been queuing end to end, they would have stretched for more than 60 miles.
