Fatal attack victim named by police

A WOMAN who died in hospital after she was attacked in Bromley has been named by police.

She was 38-year-old Tina Carrington who came from south east London. She is believed to have been admitted to a south London hospital on Wednesday, February 14.

Her condition deteriorated and she was transferred to a central London hospital. Police were alerted two days later and she died on Monday.

A spokesman for Bromley police said: "Officers believe she was the victim of an assault several days previously. A post mortem will be held in due course."

Members of the Metropolitan Police's homicide investigation team at Lewisham are investigating the death.

* A 37-year-old man from Sydenham has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent last Saturday and is due to appear at Croydon Crown Court today.
