Gillingham midfielder Bradley Dack has joined Blue Square Bet Premier side Braintree on a month's loan.
Boss Martin Allen said: "He is a good player. He will score goals but he needs the opportunity to play some regular football.
"He will play in our first team this season for sure and these games will help him be ready for us."
Dack, 20, scored his first Gills goal in a Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie against Crawley last September.
It's been a busy day of activity at Priestfield with defender Connor Essam and Ben Strevens being made available on loan, keeper Ross Flitney departing and four youngsters - including Alex Brown and Jack Evans - released.
