Joe Swash's jungle diet winds up Celebrity

A diet of rice and beans is doing I'm a Celebrity front-runner Joe Swash no favours.

The ex-Eastender star, who is due to appear in pantomime at Medway's Central Theatre next month, revealed to the show's Bush Telegraph that he can't stop passing wind.

The problem is so bad that it's starting to annoy some of his fellow campers, in particular Dani Behr.

Joe said: "It's getting bad. 'They're going to get the hump around camp. I think I've done 80 today."

Last night's show included the first eviction.

Joe was granted immunity after he beat tennis star Martina Navratilova and 1980s pop star David Van Day in a Bush Battle.

The task saw the threesome hurriedly refilling dripping buckets of coloured water before the liquid ran out.

Simon Webbe, Esther Rantzen, Dani Behr and Timmy Mallett also escaped the public vote.

In the end former TV presenter Robert Kilroy-Silk was the first celebrity to be voted out of the jungle.

He told presenters Ant and Dec that he didn't mind going though as it meant he could see his wife Jan.

Prior to the elimination emotions ran high as each celebrity revealed who they would miss most.

Martina said: "Joe I think I'll miss the most because you make me laugh... Whatever woman has you she's a lucky woman."

Joe is hot favourite with the bookies to win the jungle crown.

Since entering the camp Joe has taken part in three Bushtucker Trials, winning two and losing one.

Viewers have also seen Joe and Esther Rantzen flirting with one another.

He has also shared two platonic kisses with Star Trek actor George Takei, broke down in tears after a row over dinner and voiced his concerns in the Bush Telegraph that latecomers Timmy Mallett and David Van Day weren’t being treated fairly by other team mates.

•Joe will play Buttons in Cinderella at the Central Theatre, Chatham, from Friday, December 12.
