For Lauren Owen, this Christmas will always be one to remember, after a little help from kmfm.

For the last of our Make Someone's Christmas campaign, kmfm teamed up with Kent Reliance to help love-struck Dion Dempsey make a proposal with a difference.

The couple have been together for eight years, and got engaged live on kmfm this evening.

Dion, 28, from Gillingham, and Lauren, 25, from Sittingbourne, have a four-year-old son and are moving in to their first house together on January 15.

Kmfm received thousands of nominations requesting special treats for deserving people in Kent.

DJ Rob Wills said: "Christmas is a time to come together, celebrate and spoil each other but this isn’t always possible for everyone. We want to change that."

Four siblings who tragically lost their mum just a month ago were the first to feature on the month-long campaign.
