Man took bottles of alcohol

James Christopher Pope, of no fixed address, stole a charity collection box worth an unknown amount from a shop in Cherry Tree Avenue, Dover, alcohol worth £30 from a supermarket in Charlton Green, Dover, alcohol worth £50 the same supermarket and alcohol worth £60.43 from a shop in Lower Road, Dover.

He also took whisky and vodka worth £70.50 from a supermarket in Bridge Street, Dover, alcohol worth £72 from the same supermarket in Charlton Green, Dover, a charity collection box worth an unknown amount from a shop in Dover and he attempted to steal a charity collection box worth an unknown amount from a takeaway in Pencester Road, Dover.

As well as this he stole vodka worth £32 from the same supermarket in Charlton Green, Dover, a charity collection box worth an unknown amount from a shop in Dover and bottles of vodka worth £80 from the same supermarket in Charlton Green, Dover.

Magistrates sentenced the 33-year-old to 120 days in prison. He must also pay a £115 victim surcharge.

Canterbury man ordered to do community work

Ismail Ben Mokadin, of Hampshire Road, Canterbury, received a stolen bank card. He then used it in Canterbury to make a gain for himself of £19.99.

He also stole a jacket worth £180 from a shop in Guildhall Street, Canterbury, and failed to surrender to court bail at Thanet Magistrates’ Court without reasonable excuse.

Magistrates ordered the 20-year-old to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months. He must also pay £180 compensation.

Magistrates sentence man to prison

Derek William Phillips, of no fixed address, assaulted a man in Island Wall, Whitstable, and another man in Sea Street, Whitstable. He also breached a criminal behaviour order by drinking from an open vessel containing alcohol and being drunk in public in Sea Street.

Magistrates sentenced the 55-year-old to 80 days in prison. He must also pay a £115 victim surcharge.

Sittingbourne resident behind bars for 14 days

Jack Harbour, of Broom Road, Sittingbourne, breached a criminal behaviour order by having an open alcohol container and being drunk in public in Canterbury.

Magistrates sentenced the 27-year-old to 14 days in prison. Because the offence was committed during the operational period of a suspended sentence, the overall length of his sentence is 104 days. He must also pay £85 costs and a £115 victim surcharge.

Thief took champagne and lamb

David Charles Faulkner, of High Street, Chatham, stole champagne and lamb worth £44 from a shop in Grange Road, Ramsgate and he had a lockable Stanley knife at a car park in Ramsgate.

Magistrates sentenced the 53-year-old to 114 days in prison, suspended for 12 months. He must also pay £44 compensation, £200 costs and a £115 victim surcharge.

Folkestone man did not give a breath test

Pravat Tamang, of Oaks Road, Folkestone, failed to provide a specimen of breath for analysis in Folkestone.

Magistrates banned the 26-year-old from driving for 18 months. He must also pay a £346 fine and £85 costs.

Man, in his 40s, banned from driving for two years

Stanislav Kyojovsky, of Harold Road, Margate, drove a Toyota Land Cruiser in Moatfield Meadow, Ashford, and gave a breath test of 98 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.

Magistrates banned the 47-year-old from driving for 24 months and ordered him to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months. He must also pay £85 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.

Prison for Ramsgate meat and coffee thief

Joseph John McDermott, of Newcastle Hill, Ramsgate, stole meat worth £60 from a shop in Moat Sole, Sandwich.

He also stole coffee worth £28.56 from a service station in Canterbury Road, Margate.

Magistrates sentenced the 36-year-old to 147 days in prison. He must also pay a £115 victim surcharge.

Toothbrush shoplifter strikes

Dagmara Justyna Rauszer, of Folkestone Road, Dover, stole electric toothbrushes and beard trimmers worth £157.96 and electric toothbrushes worth £419.94 from a shop in Sandgate Road, Folkestone, on two occasions.

She also stole electric toothbrushes, toothbrush heads and razor blades worth £301.88 from the same shop.

Magistrates ordered the 34-year-old to carry out 240 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months. She must also pay £519 compensation.

Deal man was over limit

Paul Humphries, of Wilson Avenue, Deal, drove a Vauxhall Zafira in Templar Way, Ashford, and gave a breath test of 82 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.

Magistrates banned the 52-year-old from driving for 22 months. He must also pay a £200 fine, £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.

Man given suspended sentence for assault

Xhemajli Bytyqi, of Salisbury Road, Canterbury, assaulted a man in Station Road West, Canterbury, and a police officer in High Street, Canterbury.

Magistrates sentenced the 42-year-old to 16 weeks in prison, suspended for 18 months, and gave him a 12 week curfew to remain at home between 8pm and 6am daily. The curfew runs until 14 December 2017. He must also pay £750 compensation, £85 costs and a £115 victim surcharge.

Man ordered to do community service

Leeroy Washington, of Mortimer Street, Herne Bay, stole sunglasses worth £125 from a shop in St George’s Street, Canterbury.

He also stole alcohol worth £84 from a supermarket in St George’s Centre, Canterbury, and alcohol worth £51.50 from the same supermarket.

Magistrates ordered the 42-year-old to carry out 300 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months. He must also pay £135 compensation, £85 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.

Fuel thief banned and sent to prison

Matthew William Dolan, of Freeman Road, Gravesend, made off without paying for diesel worth £89.75 from a service station in Watling Street, Strood, made off without paying for petrol worth £75.98 from a service station in Old Road West, Gravesend, petrol worth £97.02 from a service station in Main Road, Chattenden, and diesel worth £94.66 from a service station in Watling Street, Strood, and he made off without paying for diesel worth £61.89 from a service station in Watling Street, Gravesend.

He also drove a Mercedes A160 in Pine Avenue, Gravesend, otherwise than in accordance with a licence and with no insurance.

Magistrates sentenced the 28-year-old to 161 days in prison and banned him from driving for six months. He must also pay a £115 victim surcharge.

Man took nearly £3,000 worth of electricals

Ashley David Horny, of no fixed address, broke into a shop in Princes Road, Dartford, and stole electrical items worth £2,890.65.

Magistrates sentenced the 37-year-old to 180 days in prison. Because the offence was committed during the operational period of a suspended sentence, the overall length of his sentence is 270 days. He must also pay £200 compensation and a £115 victim surcharge.

Woman sentenced after being charged with stealing items

Mary Jones, of Christianfields Avenue, Gravesend, stole cleaning products worth £31 from a shop in Whitehill Road, Gravesend, stole cleaning products worth £50 and washing powder worth £60 from the same shop on two occasions, washing powder worth £95.25 from the same shop and meat worth £85 from the same shop.

She also stole washing powder worth £126 and goods worth £121.46 from the same shop two occasions, cleaning products worth £5 from the same shop and cleaning items and meat worth £90 and groceries worth £20 from the same shop on two occasions. She also used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour at the same shop.

As well as this she stole washing products worth an unknown amount from a service station in Watling Street, Gravesend, meat worth £77 from a shop in Perry Street, Northfleet, and she used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour at a service station in Watling Street, Gravesend.

Magistrates sentenced the 38-year-old to 84 days in prison. She must also pay £350 compensation.

Woman had knuckle duster

Sergejs Krilovs, of an unknown address, had two knuckle dusters in Clarence Row, Gravesend.

Magistrates ordered the 31-year-old to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months. He must also pay £620 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.

Suspended sentence for Chatham man

Joseph Brian Smith, of Maidstone Road, Chatham, used or threatened unlawful violence and caused damage worth £35 to a door at an address in Church Street, Rochester.

Magistrates sentenced the 20-year-old to 126 days in prison, suspended for 18 months, and ordered him to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months. He must also pay £259 compensation and £100 costs.

Northfleet woman banned from driving

Renata Rananauskaite, of Rose Street, Northfleet, drove a Mercedes in Rochester Road, Gravesend, and gave a breath test of 67 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.

Magistrates banned the 28-year-old from driving for 18 months. She must also pay a £335 fine, £775 costs and a £33 victim surcharge.

Teen given community work for having a knife

Hannah May Rayner, of Albany Terrace, Chatham, had a knife in Maidstone Road, Chatham.

Magistrates ordered the 19-year-old to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work in the next year. She must also pay £85 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.

Sheerness man made threats to a woman

Grzegorz Grzelinski, of Alma Road, Sheerness, made threats to a woman, putting her in fear of violence.

Magistrates sentenced the 60-year-old to 182 days in prison, suspended for two years, and ordered him to carry out 270 hours of unpaid work in the next year. He must also pay £170 costs and a £115 victim surcharge.

Minster resident caused people to fear violence

Colin Christopher Ian Stacey, of Queenborough Road, Minster on Sea, used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour in Queenborough Road, causing people to fear violence.

Magistrates sentenced the 48-year-old, to seven days in prison, suspended for a year. He must also pay a £115 victim surcharge.

Disqualified driver

William Lee Cross, of Gaze Hill Avenue, Sittingbourne, drove a Volkswagen in Miller Close, Kemsley, while disqualified.

Magistrates sentenced the 29-year-old to eight weeks in prison, suspended for two years, and gave him a 28-day curfew to remain at home between 10pm and 7am daily. The curfew runs until 19 October 2017. He must also pay £85 costs and a £115 victim surcharge.

Shoplifter sentenced to time in jail

Kamran Bessim, of Hartslands Road, Sevenoaks, stole food worth an unknown amount from a service station in London Road, Sevenoaks, meat worth an unknown amount from a service station in Holborough Road, Snodland, meat worth an unknown amount from the same service station on another occasion and food worth £31.39 from a shop in London Road, Sevenoaks.

Magistrates sentenced the 42-year-old to 120 days in prison. He must also pay £327 compensation.

Man stole bank card and clothes

William Jack Lee, of Alexandra Close, Swanley, stole a bank card and other personal items worth an unknown amount in Bonney Way, Swanley.

He also stole cash and clothing worth an unknown amount from a vehicle in Birchwood Park Avenue, Swanley.

Magistrates sentenced the 40-year-old to 21 days in prison, suspended for a year. He must also pay £415 compensation.

Tunbridge Wells resident given suspended sentence

Daisy Ratcliffe, of Charles Street, Tunbridge Wells, stole meat worth £28 from a shop in Tonbridge Road, Maidstone, meat and fish worth £148 from a supermarket in St John's Road, Tunbridge Wells, and more meat worth £120 from a service station in St John's Road, Tunbridge Wells.

Magistrates sentenced Ratcliffe to 90 days in prison, suspended for a year. She must also pay £296 compensation, £85 costs and a £115 victim surcharge.

Maidstone man sent to prison

Harry Cadwallader, of London Road, Maidstone, used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards a person in Week Street, Maidstone, causing them to fear violence,

Tunbridge Wells resident disqualified

Christopher Albert, of Greggs Wood Road, Tunbridge Wells, failed to provide a specimen of urine for analysis in Tonbridge.

Magistrates banned the 26-year-old from driving for 36 months and ordered him to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work in the next year. He must also pay £105 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.
