Friday snow in Kent

By KentOnline reporter

Snow and ice caused travel chaos across the county, with freezing rain turning roads into ice rinks and causing more than 150 crashes.

Many train services were cancelled and hundreds of schools remain closed - with further chaos expected due to more snowfall this afternoon.

Even police cars were stuck in the snow on the Halfway Road on Sheppey. Picture: Swale Police via Twitter
