There were long delays on the M25 after a crash involving a car and a truck.

It happened shortly after 5.30pm.

One lane of the anti-clockwise carriageway between junctions 6 for Godstone and 5 for Sevenoaks was closed while the vehicles were recovered.

Highways England tweeted to make motorists aware of the rush-hour accident.

The agency advised drivers to expect long delays in the area.

The lane reopened just before 7.30pm.
