Lorry driver escapes injury after Brenley Corner crash

A lorry driver escaped serious injury after overturning his lorry near Brenley Corner on Boxing Day.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident on the Canterbury bound A2 carriageway near Boughton around 3.40pm.

The lorry collided with the central reservation before turning on to the passenger side, where it was left strewn on the outside lane.

The driver was taken to hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.

Police partially closed lanes on both sides of the A2 while the vehicle was recovered and debris was cleared from the carriageway.

Minor delays were experienced for motorists travelling towards Faversham, but the road was fully reopened by 8.30pm.
