Man arrested after woman injured in 'knife attack' in Folkestone's Old High Street

A woman is in hospital after a suspected knife attack in Folkestone this afternoon.

Kent Police said a man has been arrested after the assault in the Old High Street.

A spokesman said the man is in custody and a knife has been recovered from the scene.

Emergency services were called to the Old High Street at about 3.15pm.

Police cars and ambulance crews were at the scene, while the road was cordoned off.

The woman was taken to hospital with what are described as minor injuries.
