A MAN who died in hospital after falling downstairs on a double decker bus has been identified by Kent Police.

He was Kenneth Hancock, 73, of Binland Grove on Chatham's Davies Estate.

The accident happened aboard a Gillingham-bound bus as it left the depot at Romney Place, Maidstone, on Friday, March 23.

Mr Hancock suffered head injuries and was taken by air ambulance to a hospital in London but died two days later. An inquest was opened and adjourned last Friday.

Anyone who witnessed the incident at the depot is asked to contact police at Maidstone on 01622 798538.
