Met Office issues weather warning for freezing fog in Kent

The county is set to be blanketed in freezing fog again.

A Met Office yellow weather warning covering Kent and Medway is in place from 5 this evening until 11am tomorrow.

It is already causing problems on the roads, with reports of slow traffic due to very low visibility on the M20.

Forecasters say areas of freezing fog, some dense, are expected to form again tonight and into tomorrow, becoming widespread in places.

A spokesman said: "Driving conditions will be difficult with journeys likely to take longer than usual and delays to air travel are possible."

The fog is expected to slowly thin and lift during the day tomorrow, although it may persist in some areas throughout the day.
