Police appeal for witnesses to a crash in which a 62-year-old man died in Trinity Square, Margate yesterday

Police are appealing for witnesses to a road accident in Margate yesterday in which a man died.

It happened in Trinity Square at 3.55pm.

A 62-year-old man died after his grey BMW collided with a building on the square.

He was taken to hospital but died a short time later. It is believed he may have suffered a medical episode while driving. His next of kin have been informed.

Officers from the Kent Police serious collision investigation unit are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or saw the vehicle shortly before, to get in touch.
