Camber Sands tragedy: funerals held for five men

Hundreds of mourners gathered to pay tribute to five young men who died last month after being trapped by a rip tide.

Friends and family remembered them at a service held at Winn's Common in Plumstead.

The men, who were aged between 18 and 27 and came from south east London and Essex, died at Camber Sands, East Sussex, on August 24.

They were Nitharsan Ravi, Inthushan Sriskantharasa, Gurushanth Srithavarajah and brothers Kenugen Saththiyanathan, brother Kobikanthan Saththiyanathan.

Following their deaths, questions have been asked about the level of lifeguard cover on the beach.
