A 17-YEAR-OLD died in hospital after he came off his motorbike at Stick Hill, in Edenbridge.

Lee Gilham, from Edenbridge, was rushed to the Kent and Sussex Hospital in Tunbridge Wells but succumbed to his injuries.

The accident occurred at about 6.30pm on Monday. No other vehicles were involved in the incident.

The road was closed between Cowden Pound Cross to Hever Warren until 10.30pm while emergency services cleared the scene.

An inquest into Mr Gilham's death was opened and adjouurned by West Kent coroner Roger Hatch on Tuesday.
