A house being built in Tenterden has been destroyed in a blaze early today.

Around 20 firefighters were called to the property, in Appledore Road, at 3.20am.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service said the house was not yet being lived in and no one was injured.

The road past the house was closed while crews were at the scene.
