Two airlifted to hospital after crash

TWO drivers were flown to hospital by air ambulance after they were in collision in a Kent village at the weekend.

The men needed treatment for neck and seatbelt injuries after the incident on B2000 Town Road at Cliffe, near Strood.

The air ambulance landed in a field close to the accident and flew the men, who were both in their 40s, to Gillingham's Medway Maritime Hospital in 10 minutes.

Kent Police and crews from Strood fire station were also at the scene.
