Two men in hospital after serious HGV crash in Sandling

Two men have been taken to hospital after a serious lorry crash near Maidstone.

The pair had to be cut free from their vehicles after the smash between an HGV, van and car in Forstall Road, Sandling, this morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene at just after 11.30am.

It is not yet clear if the men had been cut free from one car or separate vehicles.

The extent of their injuries is not yet known.

Kent Highways said the road is closed in both directions this afternoon.

Firefighters were at the scene for almost two hours. Police and ambulance crews were also at the crash site.
