Weekend off to a good start for kmfm's £1,000 Friday winner

kmfm has done it again - given away another £1,000 cash with their competition Thousand Pound Friday.

To win, listeners simply sent a text in from 8am this morning up until just before 6pm tonight. From the entries, one was chosen at random and that was when the suspense started, because the winner had no idea kmfm were calling.

Rob Wills on Drivetime rang Darren Sprawson from Kings Hill who put his dinner to one side to answer the call. Rob then told him he had won the money.

Darren was gobsmacked and asked Rob if he was 'having a laugh?' The kmfm Street Team delivered the money to Darren at his home in Kings Hill. He plans on spending it on his family holiday. He becomes kmfm's 6th Thousand Pound Friday winner.

If you missed out on the competition today, be listening to kmfm in July as they will be doing the competition every Friday.
