Woman trapped in overturned car

THE emergency services were called after a woman became trapped in her overturned car. Her white Vauxhall Astra had rolled onto its side, preventing her from escaping.

Police, firefighters, a Kent Air Ambulance crew and a land ambulance went to Three Elm Lane at Golden Green, near Tonbridge, shortly after 8.15am yesterday.

The woman was freed and taken to the Kent and Sussex Hospital at Tunbridge Wells by land ambulance.

Police later said she suffered only minor injuries. The road was partially blocked for a time.
