A woman has won her High Court negligence claim over a failure to detect her breast cancer while she was in prison.

Cheryl Carter had sued the Ministry of Justice for damages over treatment she received in Cookham Wood prison in Rochester in 2005.

The 34-year-old says she should have been referred for specialist treatment after finding a lump.
