All the latest news from Crayford Greyhound Track

Stewards were forced to void race four at Central Park last Thursday when one of the traps opened early.

Tony Taylor’s rich vein of form continued on the reduced 12-race card.

He had three winners in Key Hawk (6/1), Miss Lunch (5/1) and Brinkleys Prince (11/4 fav), while there were doubles for Roy Griffin, Spencer Mavrias and Mal Cumner.

Mavrias went one better with a hat-trick on Saturday night.

Hollyoak Mad Sam (7/4 fav) took the top heat in a calculated 29.16sec, then Dilemmas Blaze (6/1) and an all-the-way victory for Swift Supra (7/1) from the well-supported Boherna Talk (6/4 fav) completed Mavrias’ haul.

David Griggs, Mick Mavrias and Daniel Brabon claimed doubles.

Sunday night’s highlight was the Sittingbourne Sprint final which went the way of the Heather Dimmock-trained Forest Trick (4/1).

Forest Trick was first out of the traps and went on to secure the win from Lord Save Us.

Dimmock completed a quickfire double when Jurisdiction (7/2) won the Sittingbourne Stayers.

There were two heats of the puppy competition, with the top three going on to compete in the final this Sunday. Heat one went to Norak McEllistram’s Ballymac Marine (5/2 jt-fav) in 29.15.

Headford Cailin was four lengths behind in second and King Rab a further three lengths back in third.

Heat two went to King Evie (4/1) trained by Allison Kelly-Pilgrim in 29.22, with Roseville Giggs and Droopys Halo also reaching the final.

Local Inni Black (4/1) won the Mini Standard while Darren Whitton took the Super Standard with Racy Thunder (4/1). The final open race of the evening, the Sittingbourne Hurdles, was won by Katie O’Flaherty’s Rockview Royal.

The 6/4 favourite earned a one-and-a-half-length win over Coolavanny Shine.

Racing this week takes place on Thursday (6pm), Saturday (6.28pm) and Sunday (6.11pm).
