Calling aspiring cricket scorers

KENT 2nd XI scorer Cliff Booth is to hold another of his winter courses to help aspiring cricket scorers.

The course runs every Thursday evening from October 20 until December 1 at Meopham Cricket Club, starting at 7.30pm each evening.

Open to anyone who is interested in cricket scoring, the object of the course is to improve each candidate’s knowledge of scoring.

At the end of the course there will be an opportunity to sit either the introductory or the standard scorers' examinations set by the Association of Cricket Umpires and Scorers, but candidates wishing to sit either exam will need to join the ACUS before hand.

The course costs £20 a head and the £9.99 cover price for a copy of the new Tom Smith's Cricket Umpiring and Scoring price.

Cliff, who will be assisted on the course by Essex 2nd team scorer Paul Parkinson, can be contacted for further information on 01732 356521.
