GILLINGHAM assistant manager John Gorman says he is pleasantly surprised with how Gillingham have coped with their second injury crisis in as many seasons.
The Gills have been forced to field youthful teams for the last two matches and have taken four points against Wolves and Watford.
Gorman said: "Even at bigger clubs like Spurs, injuries are used as an excuse if teams are not performing. It's not really an excuse, but just a plain fact. Of course you are going to miss senior players.
"We have 10 players out, which is an amazing statistic and shows just what an exceptionally good job the youngsters have done."
Gillingham brought in Tottenham youngster Dean Marney on loan on Thursday to help bolster the squad and Gorman told KM-fm he is a player who can challenge for a place in several positions…
