JASON PLATO won the first two rounds of the British Touring Car Championship at Kent's Brands Hatch circuit on Sunday.

The SEAT Leon driver started second in round one, but soon took the lead and was never headed, finishing in front of Team RAC’s Colin Turkington and Mat Jackson.

In round two, the 39-year-old started from pole position and stayed in front.

Plato finished almost three seconds ahead of Turkington and four seconds ahead of VX Racing’s Tom Chilton.

Honda Civic driver Matt Neal won race three after making the best start of the day.
