CHARLTON manager Alan Pardew has confirmed that leading scorer Darren Bent and skipper Luke Young are making good progress in the race to be fit for the club's relegation showdown with West Ham at The Valley on February 24.

Speaking from the club's training camp at the Marpafut Centre in Marbella, Pardew said: "All the lads have trained hard and I'm delighted that Darren and Luke have come through extensive training sessions with flying colours.

"I'm pleased to report that no fresh injuries have been sustained."
