Traffic is queuing on the M20 westbound after an earlier accident.

All lanes have been reopened, but tailbacks have affected motorist between junctions 5 for Coldharbour Lane, Aylesford, to junction 4 at A228 Castle Way for Leybourne and Snodland.

At its peak, congestion stretched back to junction 6 for Maidstone and Blue Bell Hill in the roadworks area.

A police spokeswoman said: "Kent Police was called at 8.01am on Monday, August 6 to reports of a collision between three cars and a van on the Londonbound carriageway near junction 4, Leybourne.

"Officers attended the scene and all lanes are now reopened."
