A bearded attacker is being hunted after a 14-year-old girl claimed she was grabbed in Larkfield.

The teenage said she was walking through an alleyway, off Heron Road, when she was approached by a man.

The victim told officers she was assaulted - before shouting and the man ran off towards Lunsford Lane.

The girl escaped unharmed at about 6.40pm on Thursday.

The suspect, who is about 55 and pictured in efit above, has white hair and a white beard.

He was wearing a black woollen hat with his fringe sticking out from underneath.

Ch Insp Jon Kirby said: "The victim was left shaken by the incident, but has been able to provide us with a good description of the suspect and helped us produce a computer generated image.

"We have assigned additional officers to the area, both in uniform and in plain clothes to try and identify the suspect. If anyone has any information, or recognises the man in the image, I would urge them to call us."

Anyone with any information is asked to phone Kent Police on 101, quoting crime reference YY/23106/12, or Kent Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
