Lorry driver caught in Kent with cuddly toy haul in front window

Police have pulled over a lorry driver with more than a dozen plush toys blocking his view of the road.

Kent Police's roads unit tweeted the haul, which included cuddly toys of Superman and Batman, as well as Homer and Bart Simpson toys and a minion.

Shared via @kentpoliceroads, Disney characters Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse were put between two Turkish flags and below two novelty dice.

Road Vehicles Regulation guidance states all windows should not be obscured.

A spokesperson from Kent Police said: "Officers stopped a lorry driver for having an obstructed view during the afternoon of Thursday 3 May on the A282 near to the Dartford River Crossing.

"Officers found that he was also over driver hours and he was fined a total of £700."
