Emergency services attended the scene of an accident in Maidstone involving a car and a motorbike.

The accident happened in Sutton Road on the corner of Northumberland Road, and police were called around 9.30pm. The car involved was a Renault Clio.

The rider has been taken to hospital with injuries to his face and hands, but his wounds are not considered to be life-threatening.

Police were able to leave the scene at 12.30am.
