A crash closed one lane of Sutton Road, Maidstone, near The Wheatsheaf pub at the junction with Loose Road.

A crash caused delays for motorists heading towards Maidstone town centre today. 

The incident happened near The Wheatsheaf pub on Sutton Road. 
 
Police officers were at the scene at around 7.40am.

One lane had been blocked off with cones and a patrol car was parked in front of a black vehicle with damage to its front bumper. 
 
The other lane was partially blocked by a lorry which had stopped near the traffic lights to make a delivery. 
 
Queues were back to Longfield Place, just after KFC.
