Crews called to suspected arson attempt in Oakwood Park, Maidstone

Firefighters were called to reports of a suspected arson attempt. 

Emergency services took a call at about 8.35pm yesterday from someone who claimed they saw a group of youths starting a blaze in Oakwood Park, Maidstone. 

One crew attended the site, off Tonbridge Road, and extinguished a small fire.

They left around 15 minutes later. 

Officers from Kent Police were notified.
