Three people have been injured in a motorway pile-up this morning.

Four cars crashed on the westbound M26, between J2a at Wrotham Heath and J5 for the M25, at about 6.20am.

Kent Police said a man in his 30s was taken to the Tunbridge Wells Hospital with suspected spinal injuries.

A woman in her 60s and another man in his 80s were also treated for minor injuries.

The crash closed two lanes of the westbound carriageway and led to long delays for commuters.

By around 8.30am, the Highways Agency said the road was fully open - but traffic remained slow.
