A driver has been arrested after a motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Four Elms.

The 41-year-old biker died in the smash on Four Elms Road, in the village near Edenbridge, yesterday afternoon.

Kent Police were called to the scene, at the junction with Pootings Road, at about 1.20pm.

A black BMW car and a white Honda motorbike, which was travelling towards Sevenoaks, had crashed.

The 52-year-old motorist, from north London, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

He was later released on police bail until Thursday, May 16 pending investigations.

Several roads around Four Elms village were closed until 6.30pm while both vehicles were recovered.

Witnesses are urged to phone Kent Police on 101 or the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01622 798535.
