Fire crews spend three hours tackling Ulcombe barn blaze

Fire crews spent more than three hours tackling a blaze at a barn near Maidstone.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called to a farm’s barn in Pye Corner, Ulcombe, shortly after 1.30am.

Five fire engines and a water carrier attended the scene where they used water to extinguish the fire.

Foam was also used as crews looked to protect nearby buildings and stop any risk of the fire spreading.

Fortunately there were no reported injuries while a cause of the blaze is being investigated and remains unknown.
