Homeless man charged

A homeless man has been charged with being drunk and disorderly after he was found at the scene of a fire.

Tomaz Mroz, 33, who was treated for smoke inhalation at a disused petrol station in Tonbridge Road, Maidstone, has been bailed to appear before magistrates in the town on Wednesday, December 12.

The police and ambulance service were called by fire crews.

Two fire engines arrived at about 9.30pm on Wednesday after reports of a blaze at the back of the forecourt.

Crews used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet.
