They are hardworking volunteers and staff who also often go the extra mile for patients and their families.

But you can make sure they get the recognition they deserve, as part of the Kent Messenger’s Hospital Heroes award.

The accolade is presented as part of the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust’s annual employee honours for people working and volunteering at the trust’s two hospitals in Maidstone and Pembury.

Nominated by KM readers, previous winners have included the intensive care team at Maidstone Hospital in Hermitage Lane, who were put forward by Ricky Flynn for the care he and his family received after he suffered complete renal failure and was admitted for six days.

To put forward an individual volunteer or a team, write to Hospital Hero Award, Kent Messenger, 6 & 7 Middle Row, Maidstone, ME14 1TG, or email messengernews@thekmgroup.co.uk

But you don't have long - get your nominations in by Sunday.
