Lorry gets caught in tight squeeze in Bank Street, Maidstone

A lorry driver had to cope with a tight squeeze after being asked to make a delivery in a narrow, historic road this morning.

The vehicle driver had to squeeze his vehicle around a van that was parked in Bank Street, Maidstone, but the manouvre saw him get very close to neighbouring businesses.

The chaos started at around 11am and went on for 15 minutes, with one shop owner complained that their sign had been struck.

Signs nearby say that loading is only permitted between 5.30pm and 10.30am.
