A teenage girl was seriously injured in a crash which closed one lane of the M20.
Emergency services were called to the scene between junction 6 for Chatham and Maidstone and junction 7 for Maidstone and Sheerness.
The accident, involving a car and a van, happened on the coast-bound carriageway at 5.20pm.
The road reopened just after 8pm. It is thought a car had hit a broken-down vehicle.
