M20 crash: Police appeal for witnesses after motorway closed

Police have launched an appeal for witnesses to a crash which has left a man in his 70s in a London hospital.

The man, who is from Sittingbourne, was driving a a black Ford Anglia in lane one of the motorway when it was in collision with a white Skania lorry.

The incident happened on the London-bound section of the M20 between junctions 3 and 2 at 8.07am.

The man in his 70s was taken to Kings College Hospital in London. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The lorry driver was not injured.

The M20 was closed until 1.00pm while the vehicles were recovered.
