Kent Police investigate theft from Audi dealership, Chatham Road, Maidstone

Police are investigating after a large number of parts were stolen from a Maidstone car dealership.

The incident took place at the Audi supplier on Chatham Road in the early hours of Monday morning.

Officers attended the site, near junction 6 of the M20, just after 2am after reports of a man acting suspiciously but couldn’t locate anyone.

A second call was made to police two hours later to report that items, believed to be 49 fog light casings, had been taken from vehicles on the forecourt and in the secure compound.

A forensics van was reportedly seen at the premises following the theft.

A Kent Police spokesman confirmed inquiries into the incident were ongoing but was unable to provide information on the items taken.

Officers are due to meet with representatives from the business today.

No one at the dealership was available to comment.
