A 16-year-old from Borough Green has been arrested on suspicion of threatening McDonald's worker

A teenager has been arrested after he allegedly threatened to kill a McDonald's worker.

The incident happened around 6.30pm yesterday at the restaurant in Week Street, Maidstone.

The boy, who is 16 and from Borough Green, was taken into custody nearby on suspicion of assault, threats to kill, possessing a bladed article and possession of cannabis.

He remains in detention while the investigation is ongoing.

The arrest comes two days after Blessed Banda, 18 and of Pickering Street was charged with two counts of obstructing a constable and failing to comply with the direction to leave the area.

He appears before Maidstone Magistrates Court on Friday, December 1.

Another 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was also arrested for failing to comply with the direction to leave the area.

He was bailed to appear before Medway Youth Court on Tuesday, November 14.
