Community volunteers were forced to clear the grounds of rubbish after travellers moved on over the weekend.

The group pitched up on Allington Community Centre playing fields.

It was the second group to have arrived after a first family left the site on Wednesday.

They arrived on Thursday night and there were fears that community football matches over the weekend would have to be cancelled.

Thankfully no matches were cancelled as the travellers moved on by Saturday midday.

There are suggestions that these travellers have now moved to the South Ward Playing Fields in East Malling, just five miles away.
