Two women had to been cut free from their car after a crash with a lorry.
The pair were involved in a smash on the M20, between J6 for Maidstone town centre and J7 for Detling Hill.
Three fire crews attended the coast-bound carriageway and stablisied the car before using specialist cutting equipment.
Firefighters needed to make space so paramedics could reach and treat the duo trapped inside the vehicle at just after 5pm yesterday.
The casualties were then removed from the wreckage and taken to hospital by South East Coast Ambulance for further medical attention.
Emergency services left the scene at just before 6.30pm.
