A thick green layer has covered the River Len in Maidstone.
Much of the river appeared to be coated in green by the Peugeot Garage in Mill Street this morning.
Regular passers-by will have seen green patches develop over recent days and week, but there appeared to be a large increase overnight from Thursday.
We have approached the Environment Agency for comment.
