A woman was cut from her car after a serious two-vehicle crash on the M20 last night.

The collision happened just after 6pm between junctions 7 for Detling and 8 for Leeds.

Police, paramedics, the air ambulance and the three fire crews attended the scene, with one car on its roof and a woman, believed to be in her late 40s, freed from wreckage.

Fire crews left the scene just over an hour later.

The severity of her injuries are not currently known.

Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service have been approached for more information.
