Police are appealing for witnesses after a 70-year-old woman died after falling from a bridge at the A21 Sevenoaks bypass.
Officers were called out at 9:30am yesterday, after it was said a woman had fallen from Gracious Lane bridge over the A21 between Hildenborough and Westerham.
She later died, and her family have been informed.
The southbound carriageway of the A21 was closed until 1:30pm for emergency services to deal with the incident. The northbound carriageway was also closed, to allow the Kent air ambulance to land.
Although the death is not being treated as suspicious, police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who saw a woman on the bridge just before 9:30am.
They would also like to speak to anyone who saw a silver Volvo on the bridge on Sunday morning. Contact them on 101, quoting incident reference *27-0400.
