Maidstone United striker Dumebi Dumaka commits to club after signing a new deal for the 2016/17 season

Maidstone United striker Dumebi Dumaka has put pen to paper on a new deal for the 2016/17 season.

The striker joined Stones back in February from Grays Athletic and chipped in with six goals in 15 appearances to add to the 22 he scored while at Grays.

It was his last-gasp strike against Ebbsfleet United in the Vanarama National League South promotion final that took the tie to a penalty shoot-out.

Stones boss Jay Saunders has already made three summer signings – Ben Greenhalgh, Kevin Lokko and Tom Murphy - but last week missed out on a centre-half.

Saunders said: “I thought I had him but he’s gone to a full-time team in our league.

“It’s frustrating because he’s an experienced lad who would have helped us."
