Alex Finney injury boost for Maidstone United

Alex Finney could be back involved at Maidstone in as little as three weeks.

The on-loan QPR defender has been given the all-clear to resume training after recovering from a broken jaw.

He'll be monitored by Rangers this week as he works towards a return to action.

Stones boss Jay Saunders said: "He’s going to train this week with QPR.

"Hopefully he’ll get a week’s worth of training and they’ll assess him and see when we can have him back in training.

"I’m anticipating three weeks to a month we might have him back involved.

"It’ll be a big lift for us. He’s been an important player for us this season.

"If you look, we had a run where we had about six clean sheets and he was playing, so he’s been a big miss."
